Sweet Beginnings.

Most of us have a career we chose sometime in our young adult life and pursued as we went off to school and graduated from college. But every once in awhile you meet someone who had a dream that started long before a “career” was even a thought. Meet Mikaeli Wood, who grew up helping her mom and grandma in the kitchen, baking in her easy bake oven with her sister, and even having cake decorating parties with her friends. Today she, and her husband, are the proud owners of Sweetwood Bakery!

While you can taste some of their amazing treats at local restaurants (Rusty Bellies, Vettures, etc) they specialize in made to order desserts baked in their own little space in Clearwater. Whether you are celebrating a birthday at home or planning a large event the options are endless. I have had the pleasure of knowing Mikaeli since she was just a little girl and it has been a joy to see her grow into this lovely young woman. To stand in her kitchen as she bakes is to watch talent and love and pure joy be poured into each and every one of her sweet treats.
